Appointments

All visits are by appointment only. We do not take walk-ins at this time. We do have same-day sick visit appointments available. Well visits should be scheduled in advance.

Appointment Cancellations

A $25 fee will be charged for each appointment that is cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment.

Automated appointment reminders are a courtesy only and should not be relied upon for remembering your child’s appointment.

No Show

If you do not show up for your child’s scheduled appointment, you will be charged $100 for each missed well check appointment and $50 for each missed sick visit appointment. If you no show a double well check (your children are scheduled together for their well check), we will not be able to schedule them together in the future. Your children will be dismissed from the practice after the third missed appointment for the family. We will not reschedule new patients who no show their first scheduled appointment.

Late Arrivals

In order to keep our appointments as on time as possible, if you arrive late, you may be asked to reschedule. We will do our best to work you back into the schedule on the same day, if at all possible, but we may have to reschedule the appointment for a later day. There is a $25 fee for late arrival.

Payments and Statements

Payment is required at the time of service for well child and sick visits and your required payment will depend on what type of insurance you have purchased.  A statement and receipt will be prepared by the front office staff for you at the time of payment if you request one.  Your next appointment should be arranged at the same time.  All copays are required at time of service.  There is a $50 fee charged on all checks returned by your bank.

Payment Options

We accept check, cash, or credit card payments. We may be able to offer a flexible payment plan. Please ask for our billing assistant to discuss any payment concerns. We are happy to file claims to your insurance, but you are responsible for payment if your insurance does not pay.

Phone Calls

We are happy to answer any questions that you may have via phone. Our front office staff is able to answer many questions about scheduling, insurance, and office policies. All medical questions will be directed to our nursing staff. Typically, our nurses are able to respond to phone calls within two hours. If your medical question is urgent, please let our staff know so they can notify the nurse. The nurse will consult with the doctor about any problems or questions after obtaining the necessary information from you. You may find it helpful to have a paper and pen handy for writing down any instructions. Please have your pharmacy number available.

Health Insurance

Health insurance is designed to help people pay the cost for medical services, but the basic responsibility for payment is the policyholders, in most cases for us, the parents. We do file insurance claims electronically. Co-pays and deductible amounts are due at the time of service. Once claims are filed, additional information may be required directly from you. We will do our best to get this information from you in a timely manner. It is important that you respond to any inquiries we have as soon as possible. After 60 days of nonpayment for non-provision of patient information by you, the insured, the balance will then become your responsibility. It is also your responsibility to notify us of any change in your health insurance coverage. As a service and convenience to you, we try to verify the eligibility of your insurance prior to your visit. However, many factors affect insurance payments and any remaining balance after insurance payment will be collected from you.

Office Visits

Our office policy is that patients are seen for all of their regular well child checks in our office for their visits.  For best continuity of care, we encourage you to bring your children to our office for any sick visit, behavior or developmental concerns, sports/camp physical or any other concerns.  Please call the office and we will get them scheduled as soon as possible.
